Dodd City Lady Hornets move to 10-4 with two wins Saturday By Allen Rich

Dodd City lost out in a three-team tiebreaker for first/second in pool play and ended up in the silver bracket. The Lady Hornets finished third in the silver bracket.

In the first match on Saturday, Dodd City swept Miller Grove, 25-15 and 25-9.

The second match was with Sulphur Bluff and Dodd City took the opener, 25-16, but Sulphur Bluff managed to hold off Dodd City in the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-23, to take the match.

Dodd City finished strong with a two-set win over Maud, 25-16 and 25-23.

The Lady Hornets will host Detroit on Tuesday, August 27, with JV action at 5:00 p.m., followed by varsity competition.
